Professional Background

Jack Cinquegrana is a veteran trial lawyer with decades of experience in public service, government enforcement, and litigation. He served as a state and federal prosecutor, founded a boutique litigation firm in Boston, and led the Government Enforcement practice at Choate, Hall & Stewart for twenty years. His service to the bar, public interest organizations, and legal education includes: President of the Boston Bar Association; Chair of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, Massachusetts' public defender agency; Special Counsel to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court; and appointments to the Massachusetts Sentencing Commission, the American Bar Association’s nine-member Criminal Justice Standards Committee, and the American College of Trial Lawyers’ Federal Criminal Procedure Committee.

He previously served on the board of the Crime and Justice Foundation (now Community Resources for Justice) and currently serves on the board of the Pine Street Inn, New England’s largest provider of services to the homeless. In 2017 he was an Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow at Harvard University. Cinquegrana has been an instructor in trial practice at Harvard Law School, The Attorney General's Advocacy Institute in the Department of Justice, Boston College Law School, and Suffolk University Law School. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
