Len Milligan’s practice focuses on complex litigation. Len’s focus is serious criminal defense, mostly homicides and federal crimes throughout the country. The Milligan Rona firm handles complex litigation in federal and state courts--representative cases include class-actions, reverse class-actions, whistleblower claims, fiduciary duty, and wrongful death actions, among others. Len is primarily responsible for the firm's trial work.
Before teaching at New England Law, Len was on the faculty at Northeastern University School of Law, where he taught a six-credit clinical course called Criminal Advocacy. Len is currently on the faculty at the University of Vermont, where he teaches an experiential learning course called Student Legal Services. Len also currently teaches Trial Advocacy Workshop as an invited faculty member at Harvard Law School’s Criminal Justice Institute each fall. In addition to his academic appointments, Len teaches practitioners at various trainings and CLE’s throughout the year.
Len is a member of CJA panel for Massachusetts, a group of attorneys selected by their peers and confirmed by the Judges of the District as eligible for appointment on federal matters. He is also a member of ‘Murder List’, a group of peer selected attorneys authorized to accept appointments in homicide cases in Massachusetts.
