Mary Frances Richardson served as a Trial Attorney in the Criminal Enforcement Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division, where she appeared in federal courts across the country prosecuting complex white-collar cases, such as tax evasion, fraud, conspiracy, and identity theft. Her work included leading multi-defendant cases with losses in the millions and litigating the first prosecution to charge the underreporting of cryptocurrency capital gains. Mary Fran previously clerked for Chief Judge Wilma A. Lewis of the U.S. District Court of the Virgin Islands, where she drafted opinions and bench memoranda on a wide range of criminal and civil matters and assisted the court throughout trial proceedings.
