Professional Background

Samantha has worked with the immigrant community for over a decade. She is currently a Staff Attorney with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and is the first attorney in KIND’s new Providence, RI office. She represents unaccompanied immigrant children in their immigration cases. Prior to KIND, Samantha was the Program Manager of the Immigration Legal Assistance Program (ILAP) at Ascentria, where she managed the human trafficking program, representing immigrant survivors of sex and labor trafficking; managed the low-bono program and citizenship program; and focused on family-based cases, humanitarian immigration cases, and removal defense.
